Proportioning valve

I am using the strange manual brake kit and I'm wanting to use the port on the back of the PV to run my drivers front brake line. Do I need to gut the proportioning balve? I'm not wanting to use a T and the 3 port is there. Disc up front and drum in rear. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you gut the factory PV, will you have some other way to adjust your brake bias front to rear?

If I have to gut it I'll run an adjustable PV and use the stock more like a distribution block. But will I need to gut it to be able to use that 3rd port?

Yes, I believe so. I'm a factory trained Bendix anti-lock brake specialist (from years ago), but have never gutted one of the new ones. If you are going to add an adjustable PV, that should allow you to use the current one as you said, like a distro block. I assume you are drag racing it?
