Usable harnesses

I am starting my research and parts collecting to start my 4.6 swap into my 83. I am starting with the SOHC motor and eventually ( a couple years probably) drop in a 32V MarkVIII motor.

I understand that using a mustang harness an computer are the best bet but are the cougar and thunderbird harnesses easily usable?? What would need to be done to use them?

use the mustang one.. We used the original mark 8 and have issues with tuners, tuning the old eec-iv setup.. Right now we are in the process of upgrading out old setup.. Lesson learned..

I know this is older but i have a similar question to it as well. Are you saying use the whole harness and computer or can i use lets say a lincoln harness but use a mustang computer?
