welding in new edge transmission crossmember mounts?

ok, I got the old fox mounts ground off, and drilled out the new edge mounts. now my question is how do I locate them on the fox? the 4.6/trans/kmember is in... My question is how do I know how far up/down to locate them in the transmission tunnel. I assume I need to get the transmission angle as close as possible to the rear end pinion angle? are there any other considerations to think about?

If you get the pinion angle right, all else will be fine. The last ones I did, I put the crossmember on the tranny and raised it into place. That let me tack the brackets in the perfect location. Just push them up until they are flush with the floor pan. If they clear your subframe connectors, you're good.
