Which auto to go with?

Looking at a 4r70 and a 4r100 logic says a 100 would be stronger and better is this true?

So i answered my own question the 4r70 is good for 700ft# and the 4r100 1,000# So my next question anyone tried to convert the 4r100 4x4 to 2wdand put it in a foxbody? I have the 4r100 it came in the navigator i bought. from what i understand the tail housing and shaft are different and need to be changed.
