Hi guys, I'm in need of a bit of help. After my swap here, I've gone through 3 throw out bearings and two clutches, and I have replaced the clutch cable & I'm getting the same problem arising. The throw out bearing starts squeaking bad ....to the point where it's embarrassing to drive the car. At this point I think I can assume it's not a clutch problem. What I did find though was the input portion of the drive shaft is inserted into the tail shaft literally all the way in and dam near butts up to the universal joint. So my question is, is the drive shaft suppose to be that far inserted into the trans, or should there be about 1/2" to 1" of the chrome/polished portion of the drive shaft visible . I just think that there might be too much of the drive shaft inserted into the trans causing extra pressure throughout the shaft causing the release bearing to constantly make contact on the clutch. What do you think guys ?
