Picked up the body tonight. Have a teksid cobra longblock at the shop I'm going to tear apart and get started on. Needs some work on the body first and a cage. Shooting for a 700 hp street/strip whipple setup with an auto.

Gonna bring her to the body shop in the morn to see if she needs any pulling and to replace the radiator support. Then I'm going to start closing holes and bodywork.

Did some research and this forum had some good information. I currently have a 14 gt500 and am regretting how far i'm going with it. This will hopefully keep me the horsepower bug satisfied.

My first Mustang was an 88 Silver coupe 16 years ago. I think my wife was more excited i bought it than I was. I ordered a radiator support and the side engine bay panels without holes last night. Body shop said frame is straight and it's in pretty good shape for as bad as it looked.

Last night I had a friend make me a pretty ridiculous offer on a coyote motor, harness, and transmission. Any insight on pros and cons of coyote vs terminator. I know the obvious reason, but is it a more difficult swap?

cost + cost +cost : Termi is the money killer, everything's expensive and 10 years old lol;; Coyote is last engine tech, lots of support from the aftermarket industry, but not the appeal of a supercharged engine.
I am going Teksid termi engine in my fox and do not regret all the sacrifices or investments in the stang and I am in France, everything costs 3 to 4 time more than in the US.

good luck, sounds like a very nice project

The swap would be easier IMO. Shares the 4.6 motor mounts. Motor is physically smaller. Ford makes a plug in harness. Car make 375 whp bone stock. Makes 610 whp with a Vortech @ 10 PSI. Issues are you need PS brackets, but people make a kit (i think it was PS Bracket) and the money upfront.

I'm in the New Orleans Area. Car is still at the body shop having the required parts replaced. I should have it back soon and I'm going to blast the car down to raw metal and start from there. Found an 03 dash and console last week too. I'm going to go with the teksid Block I have already to save costs. I'll try to tear it down this week and see what she needs.

That's not a bad choice. Cervini's stuff has a great fit and finish. I will be using a few of their pieces on my current project. I've used their hoods and valances on previous projects with great results. I can tell you that the heat extractor hood will clear a stock termi motor, but I don't know about the Whipple you have planned (in terms of clearance).

Some goodies showed up today. Waiting on spindles to come in and I'm going to start to get the IRS situated in the rear and the front ready to roll. I was initially going to keep the 8.8 and had already ordered control arms, but I changed my mind after reading an article on here with IRS install. Going to be alot of rolling in and out going on. Cleaned my shop over the weekend and put a lift in. Should make this adventure a little easier.
