I ended up keeping the original dash, the S197 dash is the same width as the fox, its just deeper.. i wouldve had to cut about 4-6 inches off the dash for it to fit right, and if the line is not perfect you would see it.

have to cut around 6 inches off of the dash.. it fits fine width wise, but it's way to deep... i ended up using the original dash

That's one I want to try someday. I haven't tried to do an S197 swap into a fox yet.

still not sure on the dash, width wise it'll fit no problem its just deeper and different mounting points. I'm thinking i will still give it a shot now the MW is over with and i'm in no rush. But i'm still working on engine fitment issues. after 3 sets of headers, the steering shaft still will not clear. so it's heading to a local chasiss shop to get a custom made steering shaft and bump steer kit installed. Then it's back to the grind and hopefully have it done my Oct..

I have seen the dash in a fox a couple of times. The ones I saw all had (hacked it up like a ham) issues, but one of them had all the HVAC and electronics working. He just needed to create some trim to cover his impatience.

that's my plan, i want it to look nice and neat with all the HVAC and electronics working, center console in, etc... well see how it goes. Hopefully get that started next week.

it can be done, i staged it up.. and tried to get it to fit right.. but it'll take a lot..

I picked up a 2nd coupe i may try it for that.. but .. who knows.. it would look pretty cool, but then you need to get the door panels to match.. that would drive me crazy.. lol

not sure about the boost, it hit 18lbs when i drove the car i pulled it from..had 30k on the clock, but not really sure.. I'm pretty sure it's a stock 3v, but i could be wrong, most likley sitting around 400-450hp which is safe.I was told by the guy i got it from it had 650hp. but i dobt it.. . if that was true on a stock block it wouldve blown by now.. the blocks supposedly can handle more power then the teskids depeding on what you read, but the internals are what goes.. .. time will tell.

I will try to find a picture of a vert that I ran across that had a 197 dash installed. looked very good and everything worked. He used my thread on the door panel mod and it worked for the 197 panels also. great looking setup so far.

still moving along, but i have some updated pics of the coupe. just working on the hydolic clutch now, and the wiring, custom a/c lines made to so i can use the 93 heater box and a/c controls with the newer compressor,etc..

I ended up selling the 07 dash etc.. picked up an original black full interior, carpet, seats, headliner, dash console, etc.. out of a 90 coupe. so i'm going to stick with the original interior etc..
