So I posted in the newcomers thread but here is my build thread patient is an 89 lx 4cyl auto car and the donor is an 96 cobra very that I wrecked last spring I deployed to Afghanistan last June and got back end of march went on leave and now I'm back home and excited to get to work on the car presently it has the cobra rear end with tubular control arms and an aje tubular k-member with a arms and a upr coilover kit today we pulled the front clip the 89 fenders won't clear my wheels so I'm in search of 91+ fenders so I can run my 17x8 matte black bullits up front with 17x10.5 in the rear to match still removing misc useless fox parts I'm running the entire harness out of the cobra to simplify wiring the turbos are an on3 kit and hopefully don't involve to much fab work so sorry for the book here are a few pics all future posts will be pics and progress updates

So this weekend I cleared out space for the rest of the interior of the fox and tonight I stripped the carpet and the rest of the seats we also turned the car around to face the garage to help with light and when we get ready to drop the motor

That's still cool there's a thread where one of the on3 guys did it to a coupe that would probably be informative I just don't remember where I seen it

Been a bit since I posted but I've got the entire interior stripped out plastics and all vacuumed the engine bay and interior cleaned up the carpet a little bit and cut out the hood support also put in my 1/2 inch k member spacers trying my damndest to keep the stock hood ready to paint the underside of the hood and engine bay but the only can of paint I had crapped out on me so more paint soon paint all that then on to laying the harness

So made a lot of progress since my last post motor is dropped turbos and intercooler mounted dash in taillights work and dash lights and fan motor work running into a no crank issue however have the sn key mounted in the ring sitting on the floorboard and have no power to the starter signal wire and we just swapped int the new fuel pump tonight and tried the start switch and no pump prime also the fuel gauge is swept fully to the right its the whole tank from the 96 so I'm not sure where the issue is there

Love the twin setup. Should be a screamer. Thanks for your device! Retired Navy myself.

I've got to modify the charge pipe some more so it will fit inside the fender surprisingly that's one of the only modifications to the kit I've had to do even though it's built for an sn car

Man it looks good. I have one question. The coolant sensors are mounted in a Tee off what looks like a crossover modified kit. Have you seen it done that way or is that just trial? I don't see how the sensors get temp readings when there is no flow across them like that. I'd think it would throw off the temp readings in the EEC.

Oh, thanks for serving! Recently retired AF here. Not missing it much.
