Foxbody 4.6 Dohc Swap

you can use the stock steering shaft mine would not come apart or slide shall I say, so I redrilled the hole. But I have a new to install when I pull the motor for paint. I am not running A/C so I am unsure on it.

thank you for the information and Happy 4th of July!

Did you install your hydroboost system before or after installing the mod motor? It seems like a tight space where the hydroboost is located with the engine installed.

The hydroboost has to go in first and the motor will go in from the bottom. It might be possible to do with the motor in but highly unlikely.

When I did mine i has the engine in then I put in the hydroboost and it fit...but id u put the engine in from the bottom u can put it in...I put the engine in from the top so i had to put it in after

Thanks for the alternate installation method. My plan is to install the engine from the bottom.

Plus the DAMN garage is full of snakes I killed another 4 footer Monday. It wasn't in the car but it was in the garage, lol I haven't even set in the car since I found the last snake in it. Did I mention I hate the friggen things lol.

Need to get some cash flowing also, I got a lot of people wanting me to paint some stuff, so that will put some cash back in the car fund. I gotta buy a windshield, fix the tranny, and buy the paint and whatever else I need.

You sound like me PonyBoy, I need to get some of my spare parts sold off so I can fund progress on the project. That and start charging for my mechanical labors on other peoples cars!

That is true. (hopefully) Next week I will be getting the strut towers and inner fenders welded in (as a favor for the favors I have done the guys) on the 85 Coupe project I have going.

Update the car remains the same as last time pretty much done just needs paint, I just started a new job building rice burners for a living LMFAO, seriously I do. So not really had a lot of time to do jack squat to the car.
